HYDERABAD, Oct 30: The Hussainabad police have arrested local Pakistan Muslim League leader Dr Shafiq Arain in the double murder case of his wife and driver.

He was produced before the court of judicial magistrate-X which remanded him to police custody for four days.

Earlier, he was granted pre-arrest bail in the double murder case which he had himself lodged after the incident that took place on October 16. The confirmation of bail is fixed for November 6.

Later, another FIR was registered on the complaint of his driver’s brother on October 27 under which Dr Arain has been arrested.—Staff Correspondent
