TAXILA, Oct 28: Power consumers in Hassanabdal on Tuesday said post offices in the town were refusing to accept electricity bills with 40 per cent deduction in accordance with the government’s announcement, saying they had not received any notification in this regard.

The consumers said they ran from pillar to post for submitting their bills but without success.

Ms Naqvi, a resident of Mohallah Imambargh road, said she reached the local post office to submit her bills but the staff refused to accept it, saying the government had not issued any notice to accept the bills with revised power tariff. —Correspondent
