ISLAMABAD, Oct 23: Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC) Sardar Mohammad Aslam here on Thursday directed the director general (DG) FIA to stop an inspector of the agency from harassing a man and remove the grievances of the petitioner in 15 days.

Petitioner Muhammad Rafique, a former official of the CDA, contended before the court that the FIA had formed cases against his son eight years ago and later he was cleared in the cases by a trail court.

His son has been residing abroad for the last eight years but the FIA officials have been harassing him all that time, the petitioner alleged.

The petitioner also said an inspector of the FIA had formed baseless cases against his son and was pressurising him.

In another case, the Islamabad High Court adjourned the plea of some government employees for getting plots in the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) till the last week of November.

The petitioners working in the Nadra and the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation pleaded the court through their writ petitions that the housing foundation refused to give them plots on the pretext that they were working in the semi-government departments.

They told the court that they had been transferred to these departments from government departments and were entitled to obtain the plots.

APP adds: In other case, Chief Justice IHC sanctioned the hiring facility of residences for all employees of the court.

All the Islamabad High Court employees would be entitled to avail this opportunity, especially those who could not afford accommodation in the federal capital, Secretary to CJ Ejaz Ahmed told this agency.

He said similar facility was available to all the employees of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Federal Shariat Court and other federal government departments.
