LAHORE, Oct 23: Alleged delay in evaluation reports by the National Management College is bothering many a civil servant who had attended its mid-career course early this year as they consider it necessary for their promotion to the next higher grade.

A number of civil servants on Thursday said the 20-week course ended in July but the evaluation reports of its

92 participants had not yet been completed, hindering their promotion from BS-19 to BS-20.

They said the participants belonged to all Pakistan groups, ex-cadre groups and provincial civil services. And if the reports were not immediately finalised, their promotions would be deferred till next year, depriving them of the benefits they could get at present.

A senior official of the Punjab government said the delay in the evaluation reports was not hindering promotion of anyone in the province.

“The reports are written painstakingly and we trust their contents. And this is no delay in fact, for it requires time to write them properly,” he said.
