17 held after grid station ransacking

TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 21: At least 17 people were arrested after a mob attacked the main grid station of the city during a protest against the day-long loadshedding late on Tuesday night.

As the city remained without electricity for the entire day, hundreds of people gathered to stage a protest.

They reached the grid station, took the staff hostage and ransacked the building. Police reached the scene and arrested 17 of the violent protesters.
