450 caught in anti-alien campaign

QUETTA, Oct 17: Twenty-six Uzbek nationals have been arrested in the border town of Chaman for having entered into the country illegally through an infrequent route.

A senior police officer said on Friday that the detained Uzbeks had been booked under the Foreigners’ Act.

Frontier Corps, police and FIA personnel have arrested more than 450 Afghans, Uzbeks and Tajiks in different parts of Balochistan during a special campaign launched against illegal immigrants.
