QUETTA, Oct 17: The Pakistan Workers Federation has called upon the government to stop pursuing the policies of the Musharraf government to steer the nation out of the current crisis.
Activists of the party demonstrated outside the press club here on Friday in protest against lawlessness, price hike and loadshedding.
Hydro Wapda Union president Khursheed Ahmed, Qesco union president Ramzan Khan Achakzai and Balochistan Bar Association general secretary Abdul Ghani Khan addressed the rally.
They said the government had failed to handle Balochistan and Fata issues politically and resolve the judicial crisis.
They said that without changing the policies of the Musharraf government it would be impossible to steer the country out of the crisis.
They said that in the Feb 18 polls people voted against the policies of the previous government which had created disharmony between the federation and Balochistan.
They said that the government should formulate foreign and domestic policies which reflected the aspirations of the people.
