RAMALLAH, Oct 16: Israeli soldiers shot dead two Palestinians in separate incidents near the West Bank city of Ramallah, medics said.

Abdel Kader Zeid, 17, died after being shot in the chest outside the Jewish settle ment of Beit-El late on Tuesday, the medics said on Wednesday.

The Israeli military said soldiers had opened fire at a man who was brandishing a petrol bomb. “Petrol bombs were later found at the spot,” an army spokeswoman said.—AFP
