SAHIWAL, Oct 10: A boy kidnapped for ransom on Eid day on Oct 1 has been released by his alleged captors after his family reportedly struck a deal with them.
Adil, son of an electronic trader, was kidnapped when he drove his car at afternoon to a gas station. His car was later found in the Yousafwala area. Kidnappers demanded a Rs30 million ransom from the family for the boy’s release. The family and Ghala Mandi police negotiated with the captors and managed his release, Dawn learnt. Negotiators travelled to Kohat to make the release of the boy possible. On Friday, Adil arrived at home as his captors released him somewhere near Lodhran. —Correspondent
