Cloth Shop gutted

SAHIWAL, Oct 5: A fire broke out at a cloth shop, reducing to ashes valuables worth Rs1.5 million at Sori Gali on Saturday night.

Reports said a market watchman saw smoke emanating from the closed door of a shop at 2:30am.

Firefighters and Rescue 1122 were called who extinguished the blaze after two-hour efforts.

A short-circuit was said to be the reason for the fire.

Shop owner Namatullah said cloth and furniture worth Rs1.5 million were reduced to ashes.
