MANSEHRA, Oct 3: A man shot injured an eight-year-old girl in Balakot on Friday.

According to the police, Maria Bibi was playing with her friends in the street when Mohammad Owais, 20, tried to kidnap her, but she offered resistance and the accused injured her critically.

The girl received five bullets and was rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Balakot from where she was referred to the Ayub Medical Complex after preliminary treatment.
