ISLAMABAD, Sept 25: Two persons were killed in separate incidents in the capital, police said on Thursday.

In the first incident, a man was killed at Siggah when his friend and father-in-law fired at each other during an exchange of harsh arguments over a family dispute. His uncle, who also received bullet injuries and was shifted to the hospital, is stated to be in critical condition.

In the second incident, a bullet-riddled body of an Afghan taxi driver was found at Sector G-11/3. The body was identified by a passerby.

Later, the police shifted the body to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for autopsy.

The victim was identified as Kamran Khan, a resident of Maherabad. The police attributed the incident to an old enmity.

The preliminary investigation, the police said, suggested that the deceased had an affair with a married woman from Swabi and later married her after she was divorced.—Staff Reporter
