NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 8: Five persons were injured in an attack in Nagar Khan Solangi village, near Naushahro Feroze bypass, on Wednesday evening.

It is alleged that Bhai Khan Brohi and others were continuously pressuring and threatening Ghulam Haider Solangi and his sons, who were haris of Khalifa Taj Mohammad, to leave the land so that they could cultivate the same.

He, along with Mir Hassan Brohi, Lal Bux Brohi and Ali Hassan Brohi and one unidentified person, armed with kalashnikov, axes and lathis, attacked Ghulam Haider and his sons when they were going to the said land.

The injured, including Zulfiqar Solangi, Mohammad Amin, Mohammad Haneef, Ghulam Haider, were taken to the Naushahro Feroze Civil Hospital.

LOOTED: Seven unidentified men looted passengers of a bus on gunpoint while they were travelling from Doulatpur to Dali Mori on Tuesday night.

THREAT: The district Naib Nazim of Naushahro Feroze, Syed Hassan Ali Shah, has been accused of threatening a councillor.

The accusation was made by the councillor of UC Bhirya town, Mohammad Bachal alias Ajeeb Kalhoro.

He alleged that the Nazim sent his armed men, who had forcibly removed him as transport starter at Bhirya town, Bhirya road and Tharushah link road, where he had been working since 1989.

Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr Kalhoro showed documents duly signed by the Mukhtiarkar of Bhirya, drivers of taxis, pick-ups, Syed Murad Ali Shah, the father of district Naib Nazim, Syed Hassan Ali Shah, chairman town committee, Bhirya town, in 1989, declaring Mohammad Bachal alias Ajeeb as “transport starter” for lifetime.

He alleged that the Nazim was pressurising him because he belonged to the Awam Dost Panel.

Several UC Nazims, Naib Nazims, councillors, and PPP leaders and others were also present on the occasion.

SNATCHED: Two unidentified armed men snatched a bike from Dr Imdad Memon the other day on the National Highway. He was going from Bhirya town to his village, Khahi Maman.
