Islamabad attack worst act of terrorism: Apma chief

ISLAMABAD, Sept 21: All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (Apma) Chairman and member of National Assembly Shahbaz Bhatti has termed the suicide blast at Marriott hotel the worst act of terrorism.

Shahbaz Bhatti, while visiting the injured of Islamabad blast at Polyclinic and Pims, extended his sympathies with victims and showed solidarity with them at this time of grief and tragedy.

Mr Bhatti said this coward attack was committed by elements that were against democratic rule, integrity of Pakistan, prosperity of people and progressive moderate people’s friendly policies of the government. “We will not let terrorists succeed in their design. We will defeat them with the power of national unity and solidarity at this crucial time,” he added.

The Apma chairman said Pakistani nation should stand together and shun their political, religious and sectarian differences to defeat the forces of violence and terror.

He said Pakistan was a ‘victim of terrorism’ and the nation should stand in unity to collectively fight those who conspire, preach, propagate, finance and commit violence to spread terror.

He appealed to all political and religious parties to strengthen the government hands to fight against terrorism and save Pakistan from this menace.
