PESHAWAR, May 8: The NWFP minister for education Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gillani has said that the government has made merit the sole criterion for initiating development schemes in the province, adding that the decision to construct Lowari Tunnel was irreversible.

Speaking at a seminar “Lowari Tunnel - the main hurdle in the development of Chitral”, organized by the Chitral Journalists Forum here, the minister said that the project would be taken in hand at all costs.—Bureau
