TOBA TEK SINGH, Sept 17: At least 10 buffaloes died from lightning that accompanied showers in Kamalia village on Wednesday morning.
Reports said lightning fell on the cattle pens of two cultivators, Maulvi Bashir and Muhammad Siddiq of Chak 54/2 GB, Tukra, killing 10 buffaloes. Several birds also faced the wrath of elemental fury.
ROBBERIES: Armed men plundered hundreds of thousands of rupees from two filling stations on Wednesday.
Reports said three robbers stormed a filling station near Chak 306-GB and took away cash. After some time, they snatched Rs125,000 in cash from cotton trader Asghar after stopping his tractor-trolley.
In another incident, five gangsters held up the employees of a filling station near Rajana and escaped with Rs150,000 in cash.
