SIALKOT, Oct 24: Indian forces continued bombing of border villages in Sialkot working boundary throughout Wednesday.

Official sources confirmed that 11 houses and paddy crops were badly damaged in Chhamb, Jorian and Bajwat sectors.

Two donkeys and as many goats were killed.

Sources said that the Chenab Rangers thwarted two major attempts by Indian forces to fence Bajwat and Chhumb sectors. Two big Indian pillars were also badly damaged. The Indian forces suffered heavy losses when rangers retaliated.

Sources said Indian forces continued intensified shelling on border villages in Bajwat, Chaprar, Sucheetgarh, Harpal, Bajragarhi, Jammu, Chhumb, Joriyan, Charwa, Syedanwali, Shakargarh and Zafarwal sectors of Sialkot working boundary, disrupting the harvesting of paddy crops.

Reportedly, Chenab Rangers and Indian forces were exchanging fire till late on Wednesday evening.

JINNAH STADIUM: District Nazim Mian Naeem Javaid inaugurated the newly-constructed pavilion at the Jinnah Stadium here on Wednesday.

Later talking to newsmen, the Nazim said that the business community spent Rs3 million on the pavilion so that one-day international cricket matches could be played here. It has the seating capacity of 2,500.
