SUKKUR, Oct 24: Over 50 sweepers took out a protest procession in Thul town, Jacobabad and later staged a sit-in, in front of the Town committee to lodge their protest against the non-payment of their salaries for the last three months.

The protestors chanted slogans against the Sindh government and marched on the main thoroughfares.

The rally ended at the Thul Press Club, where the sweepers’ leaders alleged that their families were starving due to non-payment of salaries. They urged their salaries be paid soon.
