HYDERABAD, Oct 24: A large number of journalists of Hyderabad on Wednesday blocked the press club road and staged a protest sit-in against attack on the house of newsman Ghulam Hussain Khaskheli in Sakrand by armed persons and the kidnapping of his sister Hasina Khaskheli.

Earlier, a meeting was held at the Hyderabad Press Club under the presidentship of Lala Rehman Samoon which lashed out at Sakrand police for taking no interest in the recovery of the kidnapped girl.

Keeping in view the assurance given by the DIG of Sukkur that immediate action will be taken in the matter, the meeting decided that if Hasina was not recovered within 48 hours, the journalists of Sindh will stage protest sit-ins in Sakrand and Nawabshah.

The meeting demanded of the authorities to recover the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused without any delay.
