KARACHI, Aug 25: The Supreme Council of the Karachi Goods Transport Ittehad has called off its strike on the assurance of a 40 per cent reduction in the toll tax .

A decision to this effect was taken at a lengthy meeting between the Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira and representatives of the goods transporters here on Monday.—Staff Reporter
