KARACHI, Aug 23: A 50-year-old woman was shot dead on Saturday by bandits in Shah Faisal Colony, police and witnesses said.

They said Nasim Akhter, wife of Intikhab, was going to the nearby market when she was waylaid by four bandits on two motorcycles.

The police said one of the bandits fired a shot when she tried to raise an alarm. The assailants fled the scene.
