FAISALABAD, Aug 12: Rulers have decided to accept the supremacy of India and killing of Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz and many others recently is an outcome of this decision which also reflects the faulty Kashmir policy of the new coalition government.

Opposition Leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi stated this while addressing a divisional convention of the PML-Q held here at the residence of District Nazim Rana Zahid Tauseef on Jaranwala Road on Tuesday. Caravans from different parts of the division attended the convention.

He said rulers were talking about opening of borders with India ignoring the fact that Indian forces were killing innocent people in the occupied Kashmir. He questioned that why coalition government’s leaders were mum over the situation. He said conspiracies were being hatched against Pakistan and efforts were also being made to make the country an Indian governed state. The PML leaders and workers as well would resist such efforts, he added.

He said coalition government had been terming Pervez Musharraf an unlawful president even though he administered oath to Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and federal ministers. He said if president was unlawful, than all persons who took oath from him were also unlawful.

“Why they did not call Pervez Musharraf an illegal president when he was signing the National Reconciliation Ordinance and extending pardon to leaders of political parties?” he asked.

Owing to acute shortage of flour, he said, people were trying to protect and preserve flour instead of gold ornaments which was a highly deplorable situation.

He urged participants to pledge on the Independence Day that they would leave no stone unturned to save Pakistan from all sorts of conspiracies.

Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Zaheeruddin, former federal minister Mushtaq Ali Cheema, former Punjab Assembly speaker Afzal Sahi and MPAs and MNAs were also present.
