KARACHI: Man killed by bandits; woman found strangled

KARACHI, Aug 5: A 40-year-old man was killed by bandits and the trussed-up body of a young woman was found in separate parts of the city on Tuesday, police said.

The body of the woman was found at a desolate place near a drain in Machhar Colony.

It was shifted to the Civil Hospital, where sources said the victim, in her early 30s, was strangled. Docks police said the body was kept at Edhi’s morgue at Sohrab Goth as the victim remained unidentified.

A shopkeeper was killed by two bandits at his shop near Park Centre in Bahadurabad .

The victim, identified as Feroze Kapadia, was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where sources said he had received a fatal bullet in his upper torso.

The police have registered a case against unknown culprits on the complaint of the victim’s son, Hussain Kapadia.
