KARACHI, Aug 5: Seven ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where nine ships including Eltanin to offload coal, Empress Phoenix, Mol Admiration, Kota Hapas to unload and load containers, C.E.C. Cristobal, Hyderabad to unload and load general cargo, Hawaian Star, Royal Jasper and Al-Farabi, oil tankers were berthed.
Sailing was also fairly active as nine ships, Y.M. Inception, Itha Bhum, Oel Transworld, Prem Devya, Sargodha, Gulf Rorizon, Pearl of Sharjah, Chemroad Haya and Sea Princess departed, while Nording G. Royal Jasper, Mol Admiration, C.E.C Cristobal, Cape Ferrol, Hawaian Star and Ali-16 are due to sail out on Wednesday.
A total tonnage of 90,804 tons comprising 38,502 tons of export cargo including 5,041 tons of rice and 52,302 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Valiant with 70,000 tons of crude oil, Sinar Agra with chemicals, Merkur Bridge, Soon Fu, APL Dalian with containers and Fing Investors to load 17,000 tons of cement and Antradus with general cargo.
