A report in Dawn’s Monday issue, headlined ‘Girls school in Quetta attacked’, wrongly stated that the school’s computers, furniture and records had been set on fire by ‘suspected Taliban militants’. The fact is that police made no mention of ‘Taliban militants’ and blamed ‘unknown miscreants’ for the attack. The error is regretted.
