LARKANA, July 31: Irrigation chief engineer Agha Aijaz Pathan has claimed that Sindh and Balochistan are receiving the agreed share of irrigation water from Grang Regulator and water shortage issue has been resolved.

Addressing a press conference in Shahdadkot, he said at present Sindh was getting its share of two feet three inches while Balochistan eight feet four inches.

To ensure uninterrupted irrigation water flow to both provinces, a permanent check-post of Rangers had been set up at Grang Regulator while two check-posts were established at Saifullah Magsi branch canal to keep a watch on water distribution, he said. The water rotation problem had been resolved with fresh steps, he said and claimed that water had reached to tail-ends of Qubo Shakh, Dhori Shakh, Shabaig, Patooja and other irrigation channels.
