Zone-IV lift U-15 crown

KARACHI, July 30: Zone-IV won the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-15 Cricket Championship as they outplayed Zone-V by 154 runs in the final at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on Tuesday.

Opener Kaleem made a patient 80 with two boundaries and a six to power Zone-IV to 232 all out on the final ball of the 50th over.

Left-arm spinners Haider Ali and Bilal Manzoor shared seven wickets between them to dismiss Zone-V for 78 in 34.4 overs. Haider grabbed four wickets for 16 and Bilal finished with 3-16. Noman Ahmed claimed two wickets for 12.

Zone-IV captain Junaid Jamshed received the winners trophy while Zone-V skipper Ammar Naqvi collected the runners-up trophy.

Hasan Azad (Zone-VI) was adjudged the player of the tournament. Adeel Anwar (Zone-V) got the best bowler award while Kaleemullah was named the Man-of-the-Match in the final.
