Abdul Qadir Chachar of Khahi village near Kashmor had stated in the petition that his name was placed at serial number 7 with 60 marks according to test results for the post of teacher announced by the IBA Sukkur, while the advertisement said that those obtaining 40 per cent marks would be selected.
Secretary Education on July 24, issued the list for offer which showed only three successful candidates, said the petitioner adding that those placed at serial number 4, 3, and 6 in the initial list were upgraded to 1, 2, and 3, respectively.
The IBA Sukkur management when contacted told the petitioner that the EDO (Education) Kashmor-Kandhkot deleted his name from the original list.
The petitioner prayed for his appointment according to the list placing his name at serial number-7, as practiced in other districts.
The petitioner said that striking off his name from the original list was illegal and asked the EDO (Education) Kashmor-Kandhkot to declare the number of vacancies of High School Teacher in the district.
Meanwhile, the SHC’s Larkana Circuit Bench again issued notices to Secretary Education, EDO (Education) Kashmor-Kandhkot and Director, IBA Sukkur to appear on August 21 and file comments in connection with a petition filed by Noor Khan Bakhrani and Niaz Ahmed Khoso for allegedly deleting their names from final lists of candidates who passed the test for post of high school teacher.
Last Friday, EDO Education Kashmor-Kandhkot was given two days time to file comments but the petition did not come up for hearing, said advocate Inayat Morio.
The names of petitioners, according to results of the IBA Sukkur, were placed at number 1 and number 8, with 66 and 60 marks, respectively. They blamed the Director IBA Sukkur and EDO of deleting their names from original lists in violation of Article 4 and 25 of the Constitution.
They prayed the court to order their appointment as per the declared original lists of successful candidates. The IBA Sukkur commented that it had prepared results on the basis of the compact disc provided by the EDO Education Kashmo-Kandhkot. The first disc contained their names while in second they were deleted by the EDO (Education).
