KARACHI, July 28: Sindh Minister for Population Welfare and Minister Incharge for Information Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has rejected allegations levelled by Awami Muslim League president Shaikh Rashid against Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and said that the prime minister had been taking every step in consultation with coalition partners.
Mr Dahar said that the government was striving to solve the problems inherited from the PML-Q government.
He said the PPP was committed to the cause of providing roti, kapra aur makan. Every ministry, he said, needed time to deliver on the promises made to the people and results would soon be visible.
Mr Dahar also rejected remarks made by PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and secretary general Mushahid Hussain that Pakistan People’s Party was not seriously addressing the issues confronting the people.
He said the PPP did not believe in politics of vendetta and of victimisation despite the fact that during the reign of the PML-Q, leaders and workers of Pakistan People’s Party suffered the wrath of the rulers.
