LAHORE, July 27: The Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF) has urged the government to accept the demands of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) employees for increase in emoluments and regularisation of services.
PWF secretary-general Khurshid Ahmed pointed out that the foreign management had dispensed with the services of half of the PTCL workforce since its takeover in 2001 but had not revised the pay and allowances despite unprecedented inflation. Services of thousands of contract workers had not been regularised even after years of service, Khurdhid added.
