Telecom tower burnt

LAHORE, July 25: A fire broke out in a tower of a telecommunication firm at Daroghawala, Baghbanpura, on Friday, damaging its machinery worth Rs 10 million.

According to a spokesman of Rescue-1122, four units of Rescue -1122 reached the spot and controlled the fire after one and a half hours efforts.

However, no loss of life was reported. The cause behind the fire was stated to be diesel leakage.

Meanwhile, six labourers were injured when a fire broke out in a fireworks store at Rachna Town, Shahdara, on Friday. — APP
