PESHAWAR, Oct 24: An NWFP government spokesman said that the government had no intention to privatize any public educational institution, and that all rumours in this respect were baseless, and concocted.
He said that rumours about the privatization of Peshawar Public School and College were totally baseless, adding that if the government decided so, it would be done under rules and regulations.
However, the spokesman made it clear that no such proposal was under consideration except the programme under which private parties would be allowed to run second shift classes on short-term lease basis in government educational institutions, in the afternoon.—APP
