55 Afghans arrested

QUETTA, July 16: Fifty-five Afghan nationals were arrested in Mastung on Wednesday during a campaign launched by police against illegal immigrants.

According to sources, police raided different areas in the town and suburbs and detained the 55 Afghans who were living in Pakistan illegally.

“They did not have legal documents allowing them to live here as refugee,” police said, adding that they had been booked under the Foreigner Act.
