PESHAWAR, July 14: The Peshawar High Court Bar Association has constituted a 40-member committee for implementing the decision of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) to observe complete boycott of courts on every Thursday.
The association’s president Abdul Lateef Afridi and secretary general Mohammad Essa Khan announced on Monday that stern action would be taken against those found violating the decision of the bar council.
In the announcement displayed in the high court, it was stated that the basic membership of the association of a member would be suspended forthwith, if he or she was found appearing before any of the courts on Thursday.
It is added that the committee would ensure that none of the members should appear before the courts on Thursday.
The office bearers claimed that they had come to know that some of the members had been violating the PBC decision about observing strike every Thursday.
