KASUR, July 3: Eighteen dacoits deprived a family of gold and cash worth more than Rs1 million early Thursday at Jagookey Ghuman village.

Armed (hooded) men entered Rana Riaz’s house and held up the family. They collected 16 tolas of gold ornaments, Rs750,000 in cash and other valuables and fled. Sarai Mughal police registered a case. — Correspondent
