Former Magistrate robbed of car, cash

TOBA TEK SINGH, June 25: Some dacoits allegedly kidnapped a former magistrate from Gojra on Tuesday night and released him in Faisalabad after snatching his car and a cash of Rs100,000.

Reports said former magistrate and a cotton ginning factory owner, Chaudhry Sultan Mahmood, was on his way to Gojra on Tuesday night when some dacoits riding a car stopped him, bundled him into their vehicle and moved towards Faisalabad.

One of the robbers took away Sultan’s car (LWN 431). Near motorway interchange on Sargodha Road, they snatched Rs100,000 in cash, two mobile phones and other valuables from him and threw him out of their vehicle.

In another incident, thieves took away cash, a licenced revolver, gold ornaments and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from the house of Nazir Gujjar in Chak 299-JB near Gojra.
