LARHOE, June 21: The Lahore High Court has formed a full bench to hear a petition, pending since 1991, seeking former premier Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification.

The bench headed by Chief Justice Sayed Zahid Husain Bokhari, consists of Justice Mian Najamuz Zaman, Justice Maulvi Anwarul Haq, Justice Tariq Shamim and Justice Hasnat Ahmad Khan.

“The bench will take up the petition on Friday (June 27),” said Barrister Javed Iqbal Jeffery.

The petitioner, Pir Imran Israfil, says Mr Sharif is not an Ameen (an honest person) as evident from his corruption and misuse of authority as the prime minister of Pakistan.
