LAHORE, June 21: The LDA Estate Management Directorate claimed on Saturday to have recovered its two kanal plot during an operation in Timber Market, Ravi Road.
It said the land mafia had constructed a workshop and several rooms after capturing the land.
According to a press release, the LDA team which conducted the operation early on Saturday had to face resistance from the land mafia who held hostage some staffers for half an hour and also tried to set ablaze the official machinery. The offenders were later arrested by Ravi Road police.
SHO Khalid Malik said both sides settled the situation on the spot when the people, who owned the plot and dealt in cement/crush stone business, showed their documents. — Staff Reporter
