KARACHI: Two brothers shot dead

KARACHI, June 16: Two brothers were shot dead early on Monday at their rented house in Usmanabad.

The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital where the victims were identified as Babar Ali, 25, and Amir Ali, 22, sons of Abdur Rahman. Garden police said that the victims hailed from Hazara, NWFP, and they were employed at a hosiery factory in Site area.

They said that the two brothers were shot dead while asleep as their bullet-riddled bodies were found in their beds. They said that the victims were sleeping in their veranda.

The police said that unidentified assailants sprayed the victims with bullets at around 5am.

A case has been registered against the unknown culprits on the complaint of the victims’ elder brother, Mohammed Iqbal, who reached here from Rawalpindi.

Boy strangled

An eight-year-old boy was found strangled in Shanti Nagar. Aziz Bhatti police said that Shahzeb, son of Manzoor, had been missing since Saturday night. The body was shifted to the JPMC where sources said the boy was sexually assaulted before being strangled.—Staff Reporter
