LAHORE, June 10: The lawyers’ long march may lead to some compromise among the stakeholders or a military intervention, says a PML-Q leader.

Ishaq Khakwani said while talking to reporters here on Tuesday that status quo could not be maintained in the prevailing situation and a change was bound to take place.

In his opinion even Jehadi elements were spending money to bring people out of their homes and keep the lawyers' movement going. These elements were investing money to fight what he called pro-US forces represented by President Musharraf.

A former minister of state, Khakwani said a war of attrition between pro- and anti-US forces was going on and Pakistan was being used as a battlefield.
