HYDERABAD: Kidnapped women’s recovery urged

HYDERABAD, June 3: Chief warden of Hyderabad central jail Mohammad Malook has appealed to the authorities to order the police to recover his daughter and daughter-in-law who have been kidnapped by influential people.

He told a news conference at the press club here on Tuesday that his daughter Irshad was kidnapped by influential people on April 5 and an FIR was lodged at the Site police station of Latifabad.

He said that on May 17 his daughter-in-law Sobia was kidnapped by the same people and an FIR was lodged at the Site police station.

He said the accused were residents of the Sath Meel area of Nawabshah and were roaming about freely but the police were taking no action against them.

He appealed to the authorities and Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari to order the police to make efforts to recover the kidnap victims.

SHAH JO RISALO: Sindhi Language Authority chairman Dr Fehmida Hussain has advised the youths to read Shah jo Risalo, the anthology of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, and try to understand it and act according to its massage.

Speaking at a “Youm-i-Latif” function organised by the Institute of Modern Sciences and Arts here on Monday, she said that every Sindhi must have Shah jo Risalo in his house.

She appreciated the recitation of Shah Latif’s verses by the students of the institute and efforts of the institute to promote Sindhi language.
