KARACHI, June 2: Former chairman of the National Investment Trust (NIT) Mohammad Asadullah Shaikh has been reinstated with immediate effect. He had also served as home secretary.

An officer of grade-20 from the DMG Group, Asadullah Shaikh was dismissed from his service in 1997 on the charges of corruption.—Staff Reporter
