LAHORE, May 1: Model Town Club defeated Muslim Gymkhana by 47 runs, on home ground in the first Model Town Invitational Cup cricket tournament Wednesday.

MODEL TOWN CLUB: 310 for five in 45 overs (Ashraf Ali 80 not out,  Sohail 73 not out, Rashid Riaz 71, Arsalan Mir  31;  Nadeem 3/45).

MUSLIM GYMKHANA: 263 for all in 42.1 overs (Rizwan 60, Noor- ul-Amin 56, Khurram Navid 53; Sohail 3/53, Ahmad Nasim 2/38, Asim 2/51).
