VEHARI: May 26: A man and his son were buried alive while digging a well here on Monday at Chak No 73/12-L, Mian Channu.

Reports said five labourers were digging a well of landlord Taj Muhammad. Suddenly its walls caved in, resulting in the death of Bashir and his son Qaisar Abbas, 15. Three others -- Muhammad Sharif , Allah Rakha and Muhammad Tariq – were rescued.

Thingi police are looking into the matter.
