Canadian held, freed

CHAMAN, May 25: Personnel of the Afghan border security arrested a Canadian national who was trying to enter the Afghanistan illegally.

They released him in the afternoon, Chaman police said.

The man did not have visa to visit Afghanistan. He was released after investigation and handed over to the Pakistani authorities at the border. Police allowed him to go to the hotel in Chaman where he was staying. —APP
