Three killed in Bajaur bomb explosion

KHAR, May 19: Three people were killed and two others injured when an improvised explosive device went off outside a mosque here at Dabar area on Monday night.

Local people said the explosion occurred shortly after people left the mosque after offering Isha prayer.

They said the remote-controlled device had been planted near the mosque.

Those killed were identified as Naimat Jan, Qari Abdullah and Tahir Khan.

The injured were taken to the agency headquarters hospital where one of them, Abdul Wakeel, is said to be in a critical condition.
