HAROON’S CONCERT: Renowned vocalist Haroon enthralled a large number of young people in a concert here on Sunday night.

The youth, both boys and girls, flocked to the venue from different parts of the fun-starved city well before the concert got under way apparently in an attempt to have a close glimpse of one of their favourite singers.

Organized by the Iqra University, Peshawar campus, at a local hotel, the concert entertained the audience for more than three hours.

The music enthusiasts joined Haroon in his lilting melodious notes from the very onset. As soon as, he emerged on the ornate stage erected at the lush green sprawling lawn of the venue, the audience, especially the girls and boys attired in colourful dresses, started singing in rhythm with him. He encouraged the audience to accompany him.

Everything went well except for a brief cacophony from the back-benchers; thanks to a very fast and good sound system, which provided the music lovers with a chance to listen to the singer, who was performing on this droopy musical track for the first time.

Though not very senior in the field of singing, still he rose to the occasion on a surface totally strange for pop songs. His gesticulations with every song made the audience watch and listen to him as he performed. Many youths and children were seen dancing and clapping to the crooner.
