MIRPURKHAS: Man jailed for 14 years

MIRPURKHAS, May 8: District and Sessions Judge of Umerkot Khan Ubedullah Khan on Thursday sentenced Faqir Mohammad to 14 years rigorous imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs547,214 in attempted murder case.According to the police, Sono Bheel was seriously injured in an armed attack by the convict, Faqir Mohammad, in the limits of Kunri police station a year ago.

The district and sessions judge of Umerkot, in another case, has acquitted an accused, Kanwar Oad, in the murder case of his wife.

According to the Dhoronaro police Kanwar was the suspect in case of his wife, Amina, who was murdered on Dec 16 in 2006.

The brother of deceased had lodged the case.

ENTRY BANNED: District Nazim of Mirpurkhas Dr Sughra Junejo under the Section 144 of Cr.PC has banned the entry of unauthorised people in the examination centre set up at Law College Mirpurkhas during the annual examinations of LLB starting from May 15 to 30.

The nazim has also banned the entry of unauthorised people in examination centres set up at Government Boys High

School Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Little Fairy Higher Secondary School Digri and Iqra Public School Jhuddo during supplementary examinations of PTC, CT, ATTC, BEd, matriculation, FA and BA of Allama Iqbal Open University starting from May 15 to July 3.
