LAHORE, May 6: Fear gripped staff and visitors at the Banking Courts and Tribunals on The Mall following a bomb hoax. Old Anarkali police station duty officer said after receiving a call by an unidentified man about the presence of a bomb, the building was got vacated and a thorough search was conducted. However, the Bomb Disposal Squad officials could not find any explosive device in the building, he added.
In the aftermath of the hoax call, court work remained suspended for at least three hours.
Earlier, on April 2 an unidentified hoaxer had claimed in a phone call made to the court registrar that a bomb had been planted in the building. The call later proved a hoax.
