KARACHI, May 5: A dozen ships carrying palm oil and to load cement and clinkers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a dozen ships including Jaikur-3 to load cement, Great Summit to unload coal, Kapitan Byankin, Filippa, King Brian, Cape Ann, Bunga Kenari to unload and load containers, Thor Hawk and Sea Bloom to unload and load general cargo and three tankers were berthed during the last two days.
Sailing was also active as 11 ships including Oel Trust, Oel Mumbai, Hanjin Chitagong, Kapitan Byankin, Orient Stride, Banglar Maya, Sinar Agra, Doris and High Peace departed, while Bunga Kenari, King Brian, Chemroad Luna, Pearl, Kota Mesra, Jitra Bhum and Great Summit are due to sail out on Tuesday.
A total tonnage of 0.241m tons comprising 77,823 tons of export cargo including 15,936 tons of cement and 8,224 tons of rice and 0.163m tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Johar with crude oil, Bunga Molati Satu with 11,000 tons of RBD palm oil, Cape Negro, Creek, Csav Lonqubnay, Ever Given with containers, Sea Globe and Nord Voyager, with coal, Hyun Jin, Valbella and Buda to load cement and clinkers.
